Over the past few years, a lot of medical experts, scientists, clinicians, and consumers have begun looking into the beneficial effects of CBD oil for anxiety. CBD oil or cannabidiol oil is extracted from the cannabis plant. It has chemicals called cannabinoids. The increased interest in CBD is due to the presence of evidence that indicates that CBD overcomes several adverse effects of THC.
Some studies show that CBD can counteract these adverse effects, but more research is needed, as most of this research is done on animals or is based on anecdotal reports. Little research has focused on the safety and side effects of CBD in humans; however, clinical trials indicate that only a few, generally mild side effects have been observed after CBD administration and tolerance for CBD does not seem to occur.
However, CBD actually helps with decreasing brain activity, especially at night. In one study, done in 2006, it was found that CBD helped to stimulate restfulness, but it did not cause the paranoia or overactive imagination that sometimes results from THC. CBD works by activating certain compounds in the brain, leading to a sense of peace and positive mood.
CBD oil works by activating the vanniloid (TRPV1), adenosine, and serotonin receptors in your body. It is the initiation of adenosine receptors that provides an anti-anxiety and anti-inflammatory result. It is also causes the release of dopamine and glutamate, two neurotransmitters that play major roles inside the body and are involved in feelings of well being.
Hemp Oil is also from the Cannabis Sativa plant but only the seed is cold-pressed to obtain the oil. It is also called Hemp Seed Oil. It is not tested for CBD content but most likely contains a small amount as it is from the Cannabis Sativa Plant. Hemp Oil is regulated in its production and is tested for THC amounts but is not tested for CBD amounts.
Cannabidiol (CBD), a Cannabis sativa constituent, is a pharmacologically broad-spectrum drug that in recent years has drawn increasing interest as a treatment for a range of neuropsychiatric disorders. The purpose of the current review is to determine CBD’s potential as a treatment for anxiety-related disorders, by assessing evidence from preclinical, human experimental, clinical, and epidemiological studies. We found that existing preclinical evidence strongly supports CBD as a treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder when administered acutely; however, few studies have investigated chronic CBD dosing. Likewise, evidence from human studies supports an anxiolytic role of CBD, but is currently limited to acute dosing, also with few studies in clinical populations. Overall, current evidence indicates CBD has considerable potential as a treatment for multiple anxiety disorders, with need for further study of chronic and therapeutic effects in relevant clinical populations.

Erode is so well known for its turmeric production that it is referred to as “Yellow City,” and “Turmeric City” (similar to the way that my living room couch is covered in yellow stains from my frequent turmeric sprinkling on most of the dinners I eat).
